Elvis's Last Cadillac Up For Auction 🎸

The Daily Vroom

Hey Vroomers!

Quiet one in the auction world yesterday - no mega sales to report, but still plenty of interesting metal crossing the virtual block. Don't worry though, I've got loads of juicy data coming your way in the future editions!

Speaking of data, here's a perfect example of why we need to look at the bigger picture: October 2023 beat October 2024 by about $15M in online sales. Sounds like the market's cooling off, right? Well, flip back one month and September 2024 actually crushed September 2023 by roughly the same amount ($15M).

This is exactly why I'm always preaching about not getting caught up in single data points - whether it's one day, one month, or even one model. After the wild COVID period and subsequent market correction, we're seeing plenty of models still offering both great buying opportunities and solid investment potential. You just need to know where to look.

Catch you tomorrow,

Sam

MARKET LEADERBOARD

💰 The figures shared below don’t count any other sales such as car seats, memorabilia etc… All online auction sites are analyzed to put this leaderboard together.

I only include websites that have sold 5+ vehicles in the chart below.

Sales took a dip compared to a typical Tuesday, bringing in just $5.4 million.

YESTERDAY’S TOP 5 SALES

Top dog yesterday? This ‘22 Ferrari F8 Tributo, a pristine beauty with a Novitec exhaust and Vossen wheels, sold on Cars & Bids. Not only is this a spectacular F8, but it went to none other than 'foreignaffairsmotorsport'—a familiar name from BaT (with 60 buys) who’s racked up an impressive 15 buys on Cars & Bids alone. I’d love to know where he stashes all these cars because he’s not reselling them on these platforms. As for this Ferrari - he scored it at a great price, adding another gem to an already enviable collection.

Let’s not forget the 2018 Porsche 911 Turbo S Coupe we featured recently. As you’ll see below, this model holds its value like a champ. The PTS paint just adds that extra $$ shine. Another one—similar, though not quite as standout in my book—is hitting the auction block here in a few days.

Want to dive deeper into any of these listings? Just click on the car to take you directly to the listing.

2022 Ferrari F8 Tributo $307,500

2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT $245,000

1967 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe L71 427/435 4-Speed $231,435

1970 Plymouth Superbird 440+6 $213,000

2018 Porsche 911 Turbo S Coupe $200,000

All Shook Up: Own t

Here's your chance to own a hunk, a hunk of burning history—Elvis Presley’s last car, a custom-built 1977 Cadillac Seville with Fisher bodywork, which he was famously photographed driving out of Graceland. This isn’t just a classic car; it’s the King’s personal ride, preserved with all the swagger and flair you’d expect. And the proof is in the pedigree: the car comes with a certificate of authenticity from the Elvis Presley Museum, plus a copy of the original title, signed by the legend himself.

Under the hood, this Seville still holds its original 5.7-liter V8, ready to purr like it’s 1977. Bonhams Cars Online is running this as a sealed bid auction, so if you want a piece of the King’s legacy parked in your garage, put your bid in now. Results drop on November 25th, so you’ll soon know if you’re taking this slice of rock ‘n’ roll history home.

Potential Smart Pick: 1994 Range Rover County LWB in Mosswood Green

Every day I’m getting more and more requests to feature potential bargains. With this newsletter as is I can only feature 1 or 2. But plans are afoot (sshh, don’t tell anyone) to be able to provide you more of these on a daily basis.

This Range Rover is just brimming with character – it’s got that Mosswood Green paint that practically defines vintage cool, and underneath, it's been given a heart transplant with a 4.8L V8.

Not only has it been meticulously maintained, but it also comes with a long list of upgrades that make it a solid contender for anyone wanting classic style with modern reliability.

The coil spring conversion alone makes it more dependable for daily driving, ditching the quirks of the original air suspension. Plus, the extensive service history is a relief – this isn’t one of those “project” cars; it’s ready to roll.

At $11,000 (Tuesday night) with bids still rolling in, someone could score big on this one.
