YESTERDAYโ€™S SALES

June 20th Sales

Instead of overwhelming you with a flurry of figures, I've decided to keep things straightforward today.

Bring A Trailer experienced a day filled with successful reserve bids. They'll surely not sit idle and will aim for over 90 successful sales today. The site's highest sale was a 2019 Ford GT that sold for $953,000 (more details on this later).

Cars & Bids had an impressive day with 22 (+1 post-auction) successful sales, half of which were from no-reserve cars. They appear to be one of the top platforms promoting no-reserve auctions.

Their two highest sales were both electric vehicles - a 2023 Lucid and a Rivian. Indeed, Cars & Bids holds the crown for the most Rivian sales, outperforming all other platforms with a sale-through rate of over 90%.

Collecting Cars sets itself apart by focusing on high-value cars. Their persistently high average sale price distinguishes them from the increasingly crowded marketplace. If you're planning to sell a mid to high-end car in Europe, the UK, or Australia, they are your go-to platform.

Last but not least, we have Car & Classic from the UK. They consistently sell a broad range of cars across various price points. Yesterday's sales were diverse, with top-selling brands being VW, Jaguar, and Mercedes.

SALE OF THE DAY

๐ŸŽ๏ธ 662-Mile 2019 Ford GT: A Purebred Machine or a Piece of Art? ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ

Sold For: $953,000

Platform: Bring A Trailer

History: This 2019 Ford GT, a jewel from Multimatic of Markham, Ontario,๐Ÿ“has a scant 662 miles on its odometer.๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ Its lineage traces back to its unveiling at the 2015 North American International Auto Show. It's a second-generation GT, purchased new from Vancouver Ford in Washington State, and has been housed in Portland, Oregon.

Exterior: Cloaked in a luscious Liquid Blue,๐Ÿ”ต the GT showcases features such as LED headlights,๐Ÿ’ก a lightweight Gorilla Glass windshield, butterfly doors, a retractable active rear wing, and a rear diffuser. Carbon-fiber exterior trim and paint protection film augment its sleek aesthetic.

Interior: The cabin, an ode to the Light Speed package, is upholstered with black leather and blue Alcantara. Sparco seats with manually reclining carbon-fiber shells sit amidst visible carbon-fiber on the door sills, dashboard, and center console. Along with an adjustable pedal box and steering column, amenities such as automatic climate control๐ŸŒก๏ธ and a touchscreen infotainment system๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ grace the interior.

Performance: At the heart of this beast rests a mid-mounted twin-turbocharged 3.5L EcoBoost V6, packing 647 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque.๐Ÿ’ช A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle channels this power to the rear wheels. Additions like a carbon-fiber engine cover, aero panels, and Brembo six-piston monoblock calipers over 15.5โ€ carbon-ceramic discs up front punctuate its performance prowess.

To Drive or to Display? As a believer that cars are built to be driven, not just admired, I contend that this GT is more than an exhibit piece. Despite its undeniable beauty, its spirit resides in the purr of its V6 and the thrill of the open road.๐Ÿ

Market Insight: With a final hammer price of $953,000,๐Ÿ’ฐ this GT marks an intriguing moment in the market, given a similar model fetched $1,028,500 back in October 2022. While it might suggest stagnation, it could also indicate the need to hold onto such treasures a little longer. The narrative of this sector is still unfolding, and the GT's journey promises to be a fascinating one.๐Ÿ“ˆ

NEARLY SALE OF THE DAY

๐Ÿ”ฅ Auction Highlight: 1994 Toyota Supra Turbo ๐Ÿ”ฅ

๐Ÿš˜ Specs & Modifications

Feast your eyes on this classic '94 Toyota Supra Turbo. Finished in Alpine Silver with a black interior, this beast comes with a 6-speed manual transmission, sporting a mileage of ~68,800. The twin-turbo 2JZ-GTE 6-cylinder engine packs a punch with modifications that include an HKS turbo timer, HKS Drager exhaust system, and a TRD strut tower bar. ๐ŸŽ๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ

๐ŸŒŸ Features

Equipped with 17-inch wheels, a removable roof panel, rear spoiler, automatic climate control, and more, this vehicle oozes charm. A true relic of the '90s, it showcases the reliability and performance that Toyota is renowned for. ๐ŸŽ›๏ธ๐Ÿ”ง

๐Ÿ’” Didn't Sell?

Despite high interest and a top bid of $72,500, this gem failed to find a home. Why? Being based in Canada might have discouraged buyers due to perceived difficulties in import. However, it's crucial to remember that importing vehicles, while it does involve some paperwork, is not as daunting as it may appear. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿšš

Remember, don't let location deter you from securing your dream ride. With the right resources and a bit of patience, that perfect car is just a bid away! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ
