The Daily Vroom

Good morning, Vroomers!

This week’s auctions have some real gems, and we’re diving in with three standout picks today—each bringing something totally unique to the table. While Porsche seems to dominate the spotlight on the platforms, let’s not forget our old friend, the Prancing Horse. Ferraris might not grab the same hype, but last month they racked up over $14 million in sales.

Plenty more to explore tomorrow—catch you then!

November Ferrari Sales

We all know Ferrari’s got this knack for nailing it—decades of incredible history, iconic cars, and now their latest stunner, the F80, has people everywhere losing their minds. It’s futuristic, it’s bold, and it’s so unmistakably Ferrari.

But hey, not every brand gets it right. Take Jaguar’s latest render—yikes. Sometimes even the legends can swing and miss.

For us, though, it’s about what’s happening online—who’s selling these Ferraris, where they’re landing, and what kind of numbers they’re pulling. Let’s check out the November highlights and see what’s been making waves.

There’s not too much commentary needed for the following charts as today it’s more about trends, than insights.

It’s always fascinating to track which platforms are selling Ferraris and what their average selling prices look like. The following two charts break it down for you.

Each square in the heatmap below represents the percentage of Ferrari listings from a specific decade that were sold on a particular platform. For instance, BaT was the only platform to successfully sell a 1970s Ferrari, accounting for 2.2% of all Ferraris listed on BaT from that era.

Auctions To Keep An Eye On

Here’s one for the history books: a 1996 Toyota Mega Cruiser—Japan’s answer to the Hummer, and arguably even cooler. This beast is one of the rare civilian left-hand drive models, and with just under 50,000 miles, it’s as rare as a unicorn at a car meet. Less than 150 civilian versions were made, and sources say only about 12 left-hand drives exist.

Built like a tank with portal axles, inboard disc brakes, and four-wheel steering, it’s loaded with hardcore off-road capability. Plus, this one’s already titled in the U.S., saving you the headache of importing.

The story behind it is equally wild: rescued from Russia after an Indiana Jones-worthy chase across borders. Now it’s sitting in Newport Beach, ready for its next adventure.

We've highlighted some high-mileage heroes recently, and here’s another contender for the crown: a 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300TD Turbo Wagon. These things are cult classics for a reason—they’re built like tanks, go forever, and somehow still manage to look classy while hauling everything from groceries to surfboards.

This one’s got 255k miles, but that OM617 diesel engine is just getting warmed up. The color combo, Nautical Blue Metallic with Palomino MB-Tex—pure ’80s luxury vibes. Add in the final production year status, and you’ve got a wagon that’s equal parts practical and collectible.

What’s the buzz with these wagons? Iconic styling, legendary durability, and a kind of everyday usability that makes them irresistible. They’ve got that 'earned patina' that screams character, not just wear. Whether you’re in it for the road trips, the car shows, or just to flex on your block, this one’s worth a serious look.

The 1984 Sbarro Super Eight is what happens when you take a Ferrari 308, add some Swiss creativity, and create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Built by Franco Sbarro, this is a true unicorn—a mid-engine hatchback with Ferrari V8 power that’s as outrageous as it is rare.

This car blends bold ’80s styling—flared fenders, louvered nose, and that unmistakable Clarion stereo—with the underpinnings of one of Ferrari’s finest. It’s not just a car; it’s a conversation piece. Whether you see shades of a Renault R5 Turbo or a Ferrari in disguise, it’s impossible to look away.

For anyone who wants to own the centerpiece of their collection—or guarantee the only one of its kind at Cars & Coffee—this is it.
