MARKET LEADERBOARD

💰 The figures shared below don’t count any other sales such as car seats, memorabilia etc..

I only include websites that have sold 5+ cars in the chart below. Which means Hagerty, PCarMarket, Hemmings and many others did not sell 5 cars yesterday!

Above are the sales from Friday’s auctions. Overall value of vehicles sold was a very steady $5.8m, which is in the daily average range of $5.5-$6.5m that we’re seeing on most days. Of course every so often we have an outlier like we did last week with over $12m sold on Wednesday, which if you haven’t yet, you can read here.

Hottest Sale Of The Year

Collecting Cars has just had an electrifying week of sales, setting the record for the highest sale of the year across any platform of £2,940,500!!

That's not all - they've also clinched three out of the top four sales in 2023! 💥

Highlighting their stellar lineup was a 1997 Ferrari F50, a gem once owned by none other than Rod Stewart. This isn't just any supercar; it's a testament to automotive greatness, boasting a race-derived 4.7-litre V12 engine and a mere 10,998 miles on the clock. 🏎️💨

The only other F50 sold on an online auction platform prior to this was a 1995 Ferrari in 2022, fetching $3,305,000. When converted to British Pounds, this figure falls short of the recent sale achieved by Collecting Cars. This marks a new record for them, achieving the highest ever sale of an F50 in an online auction. Congratulations on this accomplishment! 👏

Delivered new to the rock legend and accompanied by an impressive history file, this F50 isn't just about raw power. It's a collector's dream, complete with Ferrari Classiche certification and a return to its original Rosso Corsa glory after a brief stint in dark grey. 🌟

The sale includes a treasure trove of extras - from a set of F50 lithograph prints to the original hard top and flight case, and even exceptionally rare F50 driver shoes! 👟

Well, it looks like someone's listening, because this record-setting sale took place on a Sunday – proving that the end of the week can indeed be a prime time for auto auction action! 🗓️

In total there was $11m worth of sales over the week, with Collecting Cars selling over $5m of that. That is serious cash for the weekend!!
