Before we get to the main event, let's take a peek at yesterday's sold cars and sell-through rates for some of the top auction websites.

Once again, Bring A Trailer outperformed the other four competitors on the leaderboard combined, selling a remarkable $4.3 million worth of cars yesterday. However, despite their impressive results, they believe they can achieve even greater success. Two months ago, they seemed poised to reach a daily sales milestone of 100 cars, but in the past month, their numbers have fallen short, not even reaching 90 cars sold in a given day. The question now remains whether they will be able to achieve the coveted target of selling 100 cars in a single day.

On the other hand, Cars & Bids has been excelling in terms of their sell-through rate, consistently hitting an impressive 80% or more every single day. In terms of the value of cars sold, they managed to achieve $865,000 in sales yesterday. Nonetheless, the significant challenge for them lies in increasing their daily sales volume to surpass the mark of 30 cars sold a day.

As always if you don’t see the name of a platform on the leaderboard it’s not because I’m not tracking their sales it’s because they sold less than 5 cars with some selling 0 cars!!

Yesterday I highlighted the auction of this 1985 ZiL 41045 Limousine that once belonged to former President of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev. The car did indeed sell, and the price was a massive $140,000 💰

What a deal for the seller and no doubt the buyer is also ecstatic.
