UNIQUE & SPECIAL CARS UP FOR AUCTION

Buckle up, car lovers! We’ve got a real doozy of a Jag for you to feast your eyes on. This 1963 Jaguar E Type S1 3.8 Roadster is up for auction, and trust us, the winner is going to be one lucky cat.

1963 JAGUAR E Type

The E Type is widely considered one of the most beautiful cars ever made, boasting curves that would put Jessica Rabbit to shame and an engine that purrs like a panther. Enzo Ferrari himself supposedly declared it the most gorgeous car ever built. And who are we to argue with a racing legend?

This S1 3.8 Roadster is one of only 760 original Roadsters built for the UK market and has been maintained and used over the years, completing an 800km rally in France fairly recently. It comes with a history file so thick, you'll need a forklift to move it, and includes all sorts of work that's been done over the years, including a full engine rebuild. The bodywork appears to be in good order, and there are no major dings, dents or creases to report. The original opalescent dark green colour has been resprayed, but it still looks like a stunner. With its poise, balance and engineering integrity, this Jaguar will transport you back to a time when architects, advertising executives and designers drove sleek, sexy cars like this one.

So, get ready to bid high, and bid often, because this kitty is a real catch! The auction ends 28th March and can be found on The Market.

If you've been dreaming of owning a Lamborghini but don't want to break the bank, this 2013 Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder might just be your lucky break. Not only is it finished in a flashy red color, but it also has a black soft top and interior. And with only about 11,400 miles on the odometer and a clean Carfax history report, you know you're getting a great deal.

But that's not all - this baby comes loaded with factory equipment like 19-inch wheels, a front-axle lift system (because who wants to scrape that low front end on speed bumps?), a power-operated soft top (because manually opening your top is so last season), leather upholstery with red stitching, heated and power-adjustable seats (to keep your tush comfy on those long drives), and a rear-view camera (so you can show off to your friends how cool you look behind the wheel).

Plus, this is no ordinary Gallardo - it's a later model, which means it benefits from all the updates that Lamborghini made during its production run. And let's not forget about that sweet 5.2-liter V10 engine, rated at 552 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. It'll have you feeling like a race car driver every time you step on the gas.

Lamborghini Gallardo

So why wait? With its great equipment, relatively low mileage, and eye-catching color, this Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder is the perfect entry point into the world of exotic-car ownership. You're just one auction bid away from being the coolest kid on the block. The auction ends on March 27th and can be found here on cars&bids.

THE FAST AND THE FAMOUS: PAUL NEWMAN'S $80K VOLVO WAGON

Actor Paul Newman's modified 1988 Volvo 740 Turbo wagon has just been sold on Bringatrailer for an impressive $80,740, thanks in no small part to the fact that it was once owned by the legendary Hollywood star. Newman was a true car enthusiast and held a Guinness World Record for being the oldest driver to win a sanctioned race. He also won a race at Lime Rock just a year before he died at the age of 81.

Paul Newman Modified 1988 Volvo 740 Turbo Wagon 5-Speed

Did you know that Newman once owned a Volvo dealership in Connecticut, which adds even more gravitas to his ownership of this particular car.

This modified 740 wagon was acquired new by Newman and subsequently modified with a Buick Grand National-sourced turbocharged 3.8L V6, a Borg-Warner five-speed manual gearbox, and an Aero-style body kit. The exterior is finished in gray and features a power-operated sunroof, fog lights, and tinted glass. The cabin features front bucket seats and a split-folding rear bench upholstered in black leather, air conditioning, heated front seats, a stowable third-row seat, and power windows and door locks as well as a Sony CD player linked to an 8-speaker stereo system.

This particular car was offered with a photocopy of a Connecticut title in Paul Newman’s name, manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name. Does that make it worth $80k? 😬

Under the hood, the turbocharged and intercooled 3.8-liter V6 was sourced from a Buick Grand National and installed by HESCO Engineering of Birmingham, Alabama, in 1988. The car is said to have a limited-slip differential, Bilstein struts and shocks, IPD lowering springs and sway bars, and four-wheel disc brakes.

This ex-Paul Newman Volvo 740 Turbo wagon isn't just an impressive piece of automotive history with unique modifications and a legendary name on the title. It's also a testament to the enduring appeal of the King of Cool himself, as evidenced by the whopping $80,740 above market value that it sold for. With a ride like this, you're not just driving a car - you're cruising in a piece of Hollywood royalty!

Over the past 12 months, the average selling price for a Volvo 740 on online auctions has been $4,700.
