PLUS: Corvette sales are spiking ๐Ÿš€

The Daily Vroom

A couple of weeks ago, I initiated a survey inquiring, 'Are you interested in seeing more 'Nearly Sold Cars'? The response, as indicated below, was an overwhelming 'yes' - many are eager to delve deeper into the world of 'nearly sold' vehicles. I've also examined previous auctions to offer additional insights into the emerging trends I've noticed.

Today, I'm spotlighting two vehicles auctioned on separate platforms. As always on The Daily Vroom, I'll provide a succinct rundown of my thoughts on why these particular cars may have missed the mark on a sale.

In addition to these, I delve into the latest acquisition by the iconic Michael Jordan. Plus, I've compiled a list of standout vehicles currently on auction across the web that may have escaped your notice.

NEARLY SALES OF THE DAY

๐Ÿš— Spotlight: 2009 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe ๐Ÿš—

A stunning 2009 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe drew bids up to a notable $180,000 in yesterdayโ€™s auction. With an extraordinarily low mileage of just 110 miles, this automobile stands as a pristine artifact of automotive history. It's equipped with a coveted 6-speed manual transmission, has a โ€˜one-ownerโ€™ history, and comes with no significant modifications - presenting an authentic Porsche driving experience.

๐ŸŒŸ Features and Specifications ๐ŸŒŸ

This stylish coupe adorns a sleek black exterior paired with a plush black interior. Under the hood lies a powerful 3.6L turbocharged flat-6 engine, generating a compelling 480 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine pairs with a 6-speed manual transmission and an AWD drivetrain to offer a thrilling ride.

โ“ Why it Didn't Sell โ“

While the 2009 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe is undoubtedly a highly desirable car, several factors may have contributed to its failure to sell. For one, the somewhat unclear history, with certain details missing, may have raised concerns among potential buyers. Past listings and sales on another auction site add to this confusion. For example it shows having sold from one dealer to another in July last year for $285,997! ๐Ÿค”

Secondly, the car comes equipped with original tires bearing 2008 date codes, suggesting that they may be due for replacement. This minor detail might have made prospective buyers hesitant.

Additionally, market conditions seem to have shifted. Even with its exceptional low mileage and 6-speed manual, the demand for this car might not be as strong as it was last year.

Finally, it's possible that the seller had set a price that was higher than what buyers were willing to pay, and wasn't prepared to accept less.

Despite these reasons, it can't be overlooked that this 911 Turbo Coupe is an exceptional piece of Porsche's legacy and offers a uniquely engaging driving experience. Who knows? With some patience and perhaps a bit of compromise, this vehicular masterpiece might just find the right owner it deserves

Do you think it's worth more than $180,000?

๐Ÿš€ Aston Martin V8 Vantage Auction: A Closer Look ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Introduction ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ The auction of the 2011 Aston Martin V8 Vantage concluded yesterday with the highest bid of $47,250. This British sports car ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง was noted for its Quantum Silver exterior with Phantom Grey leather interior, a perfect blend of luxury and performance. ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’จ

Description ๐Ÿ“˜ The Vantage came equipped with a powerful 4.7-liter V8 engine mated to an automatic transmission, ensuring an exhilarating driving experience. The car had low mileage, further enhancing its appeal. A key feature was the navigation system ๐Ÿ›ฐ๏ธ, and although the car did not come with clear protective film apart from the lower rear wheels, it appeared to be well-maintained overall.

Performance and Handling ๐Ÿš€ Not only was the V8 Vantage aesthetically pleasing, but it also had commendable performance. With its V8 engine and superbly tuned suspension, it offered both power and precision. It was described as a true driver's car, with a fantastic solid feel and beautifully balanced handling.

User Interaction ๐Ÿ‘ฅ Throughout the auction, there were several queries about the condition of the car. Buyers expressed concerns about rock chips on the hood, moisture build-up in tail lights, potential warning lights, and the condition of door, hood, and trunk struts. The seller responded to these queries, stating that the car was serviced at the dealer before purchase and didn't have any warning lights on. The seller also confirmed the navigation system was functioning well and that a second key was available.

โ“Why it didn't sellโ“ Several factors may have contributed to this.

Firstly, the lack of complete maintenance records and documentation ๐Ÿ“‘ possibly made potential buyers hesitant, as they could not fully assess the car's history.

Secondly, there was some criticism of the seller's responsiveness and detailed information, which may have affected potential bidders' confidence. ๐Ÿ˜”

Finally, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, despite its allure and performance, has often struggled to reach reserve prices in previous auctions, suggesting a possible market trend that isn't reflective of the car's quality but rather its perceived value. ๐Ÿ’ฐ

CELEBS & CARS
