The weekend is nearly here 😀. Some big sales are on the way next week, after analysing some of the current bids. But today, I wanna focus on one of the more affordable vehicles out there, the Jeep Cherokee.

NEARLY SALE OF THE DAY
Highest bid was $66,000…
🚗 1979 Porsche 911SC: A European-market coupe that was imported to the US. Finished in Guards Red over a black interior.
🔧 Enhanced features: Comes with a 3.0-liter flat-six engine, five-speed manual transaxle, MSD ignition, and a Griffiths/Kuehl air-conditioning compressor.
🎨 Exterior updates: Refinished engine cover, repaired front valance, replacement engine-compartment decals, new trunk struts, turn-signal relay, fog-light switch, and various lighting lenses.
🔵 Wheels and Tires: Fuchs 16″ alloy wheels refinished and fitted with 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires.
🔩 Mechanical updates: Overhauled braking system, new sway bar mounts, replaced wheel bearings, tie rods, and ball-joint pins.
🛋️ Interior enhancements: Black upholstery on front sport seats and folding rear seats. Additional appointments include air conditioning, power windows, and an aftermarket JVC CD stereo.
⚙️ Engine rebuild: Completed in November 2022 with several parts replaced including fuel tank, engine seals, piston rings, heat exchangers, oil lines, and oil-pressure switch and sender.
💨 Exhaust system: An SSI exhaust with a stainless muffler has been installed, adding to the car's performance credentials.
🚿 Detailed cleaning: The underside of the car was dry-ice cleaned in preparation for the sale.
Given that it sold for $50k last year, the current market might not be ready to appreciate the additional value from the extensive work done on the car, leading to a price mismatch between seller and potential buyers. Could the lack of clarity on the true mileage of the vehicle been a factor deterring potential buyers or is the market just correcting itself on some of those crazy buys from last year?

In today's feature, we are turning our spotlight on some more affordable yet highly reliable vehicles that have recently graced online auctions. Let's dive into the world of Jeep Cherokees and Grand Cherokees. Below are all online auction sales last month. Most were on BaT, with a few being on Catawiki & Cars & Bids. The average sale price was $17,690
