PORSCHE SALES LAST WEEK

PLEASE excuse the semi-professional chart I created below, any designers out there who wanna help, I'm open to your offers πŸ˜€

Last week there were 70 Porsche's sold in online auctions with a total sales price of $5,667,648.00. If you extrapolate these numbers for a yearly basis then you get (just getting the calculator out here) a VERY large number of $$ sales over the year of $294,717,696. Now of course we can't really extrapolate over one week's numbers, but hey-ho it's fun to do so! We'll be keeping an eye on this one and report back.

Looking at the chart below which make and model stands out to you?

AUCTION SITES: WHERE THE COOL CARS GO TO FIND A NEW OWNER

G'day petrolheads! So, you're thinking about selling your beloved car, but you're not sure where to list it. Should you go with the tried-and-true Facebook Marketplace or take a chance with one of the many auction sites. (we'll go through all the main auction sites in another post) Let me tell you, auction sites are where it's at!

First off, let's talk about the cha-ching factor. If you're looking to get the best possible price for your ride, selling it on an auction site is the way to go. In fact, last month alone, over $130 million worth of cars were sold online. That's right, million with an M! So, if you want to get the most bang for your buck, an auction site is the clear choice.

But it's not just about the money. When you sell your car on an auction site, you get the benefit of professional representation. These sites know exactly how to present your ride to potential buyers, highlighting all of its best features to make it stand out from the pack. Many use data and market research to determine what buyers are looking for, so you know your car is being shown in the best possible light.

And let's not forget about the ease of sale. Auction sites make the whole process a breeze for both buyers and sellers. Buyers have to register and often pay a fee as soon as the auction ends, which means you don't have to worry about dealing with any shady characters or con artists. Plus, there are even some new sites that offer escrow services, (finally) providing an added layer of security for both parties involved.

Speaking of auction sites, there are a ton of them out there that cater to different niches in the car market. Whether you have a classic car, a sports car, or a rare model, there's an auction site that specializes in selling exactly what you've got. And the best part? These sites deal with the majority of questions and concerns from potential buyers, saving you heaps of time and hassle.

In conclusion, if you want to sell your car for top dollar, (who doesn't!) with professional representation and minimal stress, an auction site is definitely the way to go. Not only will you get the best possible price for your ride, but you'll also have peace of mind knowing that the sale is being handled by experts in the field. So, what are you waiting for? Get that baby listed and watch those bids roll in!

GREAT DEAL OR AM I MISSING SOMETHING?

This 1960 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster is a real beaut! It sold yesterday at auction for a whopping $916,000, and even though that sounds like a ton of dough, it could be the deal of a lifetime!

1960 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster

This baby is one of only 1,858 roadsters ever made during a six-year production run, and it's a rare gem from 1960, with only 249 ever manufactured. Talk about exclusivity! The car was originally sold in Stuttgart, Germany, to an American Air Force captain who brought it with him to Arizona. Since then, it's passed through the hands of a few owners and undergone some serious TLC, including a rebuild of the 3.0-liter inline-six engine.

Now, this classic car is finished in a striking white color and boasts some impressive features, like Bosch direct fuel injection, a four-speed manual transmission, hydraulic drum brakes, and a four-wheel independent suspension with a low-pivot rear axle. Plus, it comes with some sweet extras, like a two-piece leather-wrapped reproduction luggage set and a Becker Mexico radio.

Sure, the car has a few imperfections, like paint cracks and a tear in the black convertible top, but that just adds to its vintage charm. And with a clean Nevada title and all the factory data you could ever want, this 300SL Roadster is ready to take you on the ride of a lifetime. Did the buyer have the last laugh and grab a true bargain??
