The Daily Vroom
Good morning Vroomers!
Another wild day in online auctions. Over $11 million in total sales and an above-average $55k sale price. And that is not even counting one of my all-time favorites, the Euro 1987 Lamborghini Countach 5000 QV, which nearly changed hands yesterday with bidding reaching $830,000 before stalling.

Auctions Ending Today To Keep An Eye On
This one really does tick every box for me. A manual gearbox, naturally aspirated flat six, iconic Guards Red paint, low miles, a detailed service history, and the right recent maintenance with coolant hoses, starter motor, and fresh Michelin rears. It is exactly what you hope to find when hunting for a clean 997.1, the kind of car you can enjoy now and feel confident about long term.
And if you are a fan of these, it probably ticks every box for you too. The 997.1 Carrera 2 in manual form is one of the purest ways to experience a modern 911 without overcomplication.
That said, if you are here in the States, this is essentially impossible to bring over. Compliance and tariffs kill the math before you even get to shipping. Which means the opportunity is squarely with buyers in the UK or Europe. With the reserve already met, someone over there is about to get exactly the kind of 997 many of us are still chasing.
Some cars just stop you in your tracks. This RS6 Avant is one of them. Audi Exclusive Cassis Pearl Effect paint, a color that looks wine red in the shade and pops with pink and purple tones in the sun, turns an already menacing wagon into something unforgettable.
Underneath it is the full RS6 experience. A 591 horsepower twin turbo V8, quattro all wheel drive, RS sport exhaust, all wheel steering, the whole package. With just 8,800 miles and zero modifications, it is as clean as they come. The service history is equally reassuring, with fresh tires earlier this year and a subframe replaced under warranty for peace of mind.
What stands out most here is how much love this car has already gotten from bidders and commenters. People are talking about the color like it is a concept car, and they are not wrong. The photography makes it look like Audi’s own press material, and in a way this car feels like a poster RS6, the kind that defines why fast wagons matter.
With a few hours left, it is already deep into six figure money, but for the right buyer, this spec is worth it. Not every RS6 Avant is created equal, and Cassis Pearl makes this one a true unicorn.
Here’s the move if you want a Porsche badge without writing a six-figure check. A 1981 Porsche 928, ten years with the same owner, finished in Light Blue Metallic over Dark Blue leather, clean title, Certificate of Authenticity, and stored in a climate-controlled garage.
The 928 was Porsche’s big swing in the late seventies, a V8-powered GT built to be the future of the brand. It still looks futuristic now with those pop-up headlights, wide hips, and phone dial wheels. This one has been kept right, and at $4,000 high bid it is sitting in bargain territory.
Sure, it has the 3-speed auto, but who cares. For the price of a used Civic you get a V8 Porsche with real presence. If you have been priced out of the 911 market, this is one of the smartest entry points left. Let’s hope the seller is realistic with his reserve….

Sale of the Day
Fifteen grand for a Skyline wagon in disguise. That is what this 1999 Stagea RS Four V boiled down to. Rear wheel drive swap, 5 speed manual, RB25DET with an HKS turbo, all sitting on Enkei RPF1s. The kind of spec you rarely see in the U.S., and this one came with a clean title.
The listing was not drama free. An old R grade auction sheet resurfaced, sparking rust concerns and questions about why the NEO motor was swapped out. The seller pushed back, pointing to JDM Legends’ work and positioning the car as a built driver, not a garage queen. Some buyers tapped out, worried about hidden issues.
Still, it landed at $15,250. For a right hand drive turbo wagon with this level of modification, that is cheap speed. Even if the new owner has to chase a few gremlins, they have bought themselves a seriously cool piece of Nissan history without breaking the bank.

Community News
We’ve talked before about how Cars & Bids lagged behind when it came to events. Other platforms leaned into them, built communities, and over time that loyalty translated into more listings and more eyeballs. C&B was missing that piece. Then they hosted one of their first events, which was a strong start. Now they’ve taken the next step, adding an Events tab right to their main menu. And it’s filling up fast, with new additions almost daily. Honestly, this is a smart move across the board. It keeps their audience engaged, grows the brand, and sets the stage for more cars coming their way.
Bring a Trailer just rolled out a new feature: recommended auctions. Since launch they have kept this section capped at 50 cars, and that has not changed. The real question is how those 50 are picked. The selection feels deliberate but the criteria is unclear. Is it algorithm driven, editorially chosen, or based on engagement signals we cannot see? I may have missed an explanation somewhere, but clarity would be valuable. This feature has real weight because it directs attention, bidding energy, and ultimately values. And if sellers knew what it took to make that showcase, it would absolutely change how they prepare and position their listings.
