π₯ Two HUGE Ford Sales Yesterday & Celeb Car Sale π΄
PLUS: Analysis of the sites that are ramping up their listings π
The Daily Vroom
Good morning Vroomers,
Yesterday we ran a poll (which you can still vote on) on which is your favorite auction website. The results thus far are as follows.
I have to say, it's a bit surprising that Hemmings, despite its well-known name, didn't capture more attention - their website could use a bit of sprucing up though! π¨
It's no shocker that BaT is receiving most of the love β€οΈ, considering many of you have firsthand experience buying and selling there. ππ¨
I plan to run this poll every quarter, keen to keep track of how your preferences shift with the market's movements. Stay tuned! ππ

CELEBRITY LISTING OF THE DAY π±
Let's dive into a car with a sprinkle of Hollywood glamour today.
We've got John C. Reillyβs vintage 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Convertible on the block. Currently (Monday night) the bid is at $32,000.
With the auction ending today (Tuesday), it's time to take a closer look!
A Ride to Remember π This stunner, initially purchased by Reilly himself back in 1992 from a previous owner in Pasadena, boasts a glorious Tripoli Turquoise exterior. It's undergone a pretty neat refurbishment involving some body panel repairs, showing off its flawless silhouette in all its grandeur.
But let's pop the hood: we're looking at a 307ci V8 powerhouse paired with a recently overhauled two-speed automatic transmission. This baby comes with a neat collection of features, like its black soft top and top boot, steel wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, and chrome trimmings that add that dash of old-school cool.
On the inside, we're treated to black vinyl upholstery with an Alpine cassette stereo and six-disc CD changer for those long, nostalgic drives. Plus, the car's got some new tweaks, like a replaced fuel tank, lines, and a heater core.
Adding a Dash of Stardom β¨ Now, here comes the big question: does Reillyβs ownership add a sprinkle of star dust to this car? One might think the car's celebrity history would make the digits on the price tag dance a bit higher. After all, this car is not just about the thrill of the drive; it's about owning a piece of cinematic history. Reilly has graced us with unforgettable performances, such as his hilarious role in 'Step Brothers' β always a personal favorite!
This Malibu Convertible hasn't just sat pretty in the garage either; it's strutted its stuff on-screen in several TV and film projects. Most recently, it served as a picture car in HBOβs Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty.
So, is the star power going to create a bidding war? Time will tell. But one thing is for certain - whoever becomes the next owner of this beauty is in for a Hollywood-style ride! ππ₯π
