👀 Unbelievable 53-Year Ownership: Land Rover Safari Wagon

PLUS: What Motorcycles Are Selling On The Auction Sites 🏍

The Daily Vroom

🌅 Good Morning, Vroomers!

🎉 A big shoutout to all the new community members who hopped on board over the last few days, welcome.

Without further ado, sit back and enjoy the newsletter.

MARKET LEADERBOARD

🌊: As hinted in yesterday’s newsletter, the tide came in strong on Tuesday, with sales surging 🚀 to an impressive $6.8m. While the market leaderboard showcases just four websites boasting 5 or more vehicle sales, these dominant platforms are steering the ship, accounting for the bulk of total sales.

I'm rooting for all platforms 🌍. My sincerest wish is for every single one to thrive and succeed. However, I must shine a spotlight 🔦 on some budding platforms that, to the discerning eye, might not be entirely transparent with their sales and comments. I understand the hustle – especially if you're a newbie in this arena. I've previously lauded Cars & Bids for their relentless drive for each sale. However, integrity is paramount, and I won't feature any sales on The Daily Vroom that raise doubts about their authenticity.

It's a fact: a small percentage of sales might not materialize post-auction 🤷‍♂️. Many of you have quizzed me about this elusive number. Pinning down an exact figure is challenging since platforms typically charge their fee post-sale. If a deal goes awry, it's rare to see them update the status to 'Not Sold' – and, honestly, I wouldn't anticipate such transparency. Occasionally, a re-listed car spills the beans, revealing the backstory of a failed transaction. In most cases, when a site indicates a sale, it's legit. But for the emerging platforms that might have ulterior motives for possibly bending the truth, rest assured: I've got my eyes peeled 👀. I'll keep you posted on any significant findings.

MOTORCYCLE SALES

In each edition of The Daily Vroom, I dive deep into vehicle sales, yet there's one category I've overlooked till now: motorcycles. While some may argue they lack the allure of cars, others would passionately disagree. Motorcycles, often overshadowed in online auction discussions, deserve their spotlight too. Starting today, they'll get their due attention. And if you're keen on more insights and trends about motorcycle sales in the future, let me know in the poll below!
