๐ Eye-catching Features ๐
Born in 1958, this Porsche 356A was more than a car; it was a work of art! ๐จ Emory Motorsports refurbished and modified this vehicle, transforming it into the fifth Emory Special ever built. Not to forget, it boasts an electric sunroof, making it a rare gem. ๐

๐๏ธ Exterior Aesthetics ๐๏ธ
Sporting an elegant black paint job, the coupe embodies sophistication and style. The louvered panels in the rear quarters, along with the deleted drip rails, lend a unique aesthetic appeal to the classic model. Plus, the 16x5" Billet Alloy Wheels give it a timeless charm. ๐
๐บ Interior Comfort ๐บ
The comfort of this car is unparalleled with green leather upholstery offering an exquisite driving experience. Additional interior highlights include a 911R-style steering wheel and Fibersteel bucket seats that exude vintage luxury. ๐
๐ค Why Didn't It Sell? ๐ค
I'm slightly baffled as to why this deal didn't go through. Was the seller's expectation significantly beyond the bid? It was a mere $644 shy of a hefty $700k - the reserve couldn't possibly have been that high, right? Here's a little insider scoop on the online auction scene: many auction houses have a clause in their terms allowing them to inject a bit of their own ๐ฐ into the mix, in order to seal the deal. Given a $5k fee, it would be quite simple for the auction house to sweeten the pot if the deal was close. So, my guess is the reserve must have been set considerably higher.
1995 Porsche 911 Carrera RS
Result: Bid to $340,000 on 6/8/23 - on BaT
๐ First Impressions:
Now here's a sight that gets your heart racing! This '95 Porsche 911 Carrera RS, an embodiment of pure German performance, didn't quite hit the mark at the auction, with a high bid of $340,000.
๐ฅ Under the Hood:
Just lift that hood, and you'll find Porsche's raw power unleashed. This beast rocks a robust 3.8-liter flat-six, paired with a six-speed manual transaxle for that sweet, unfiltered driving experience we all crave. You've got a limited-slip diff in the mix too - talk about being in control!
๐ฟ Exterior:
Man, just look at it! Drenched in that stunning Polar Silver Metallic paint, this 911 commands attention. The aggressive body styling of the 993 era is absolutely on point, plus it's got the seam-welded body shell, aluminum hood, and those sleek front and rear spoilers. And those 18" Speedline multi-piece wheels? Ice cold! It's also got a set of Cargraphic mufflers, delivering an exhaust note that's music to any gearhead's ears.
๐ Interior:
Step inside, and it's all luxury and performance. There's something about that two-tone black and gray leather upholstery that screams sophistication, yet those manually adjustable sport seats and fold-down rear seats don't let you forget this car's racing heritage. And hey, it's not just about the speed - this ride is kitted out with air conditioning, power-operated windows, front airbags, and even a retro factory cassette player.
๐ธ So, Why Didn't It Sell?:
With the hammer falling at $340,000, the reserve just wasn't met. But why? Maybe it's because a similar model recently went for $360,000, and perhaps the seller was looking to top that. The market's always changing, right? But at the end of the day, it feels like the market's speaking up on how much they think this Porsche model's worth, even on a day of Porscheโs 75th anniversary.
