The Daily Vroom

Good morning, Vroomers!

As more of these partnerships pop up, you can bet we'll be drooling over and chatting about some seriously cool rides being auctioned off across the globe. And you know me - I'm all about shining a spotlight on these international gems.

Now, let's cut to the chase and dive into today's action-packed lineup...

MARKET LEADERBOARD

💰 The figures shared below don’t count any other sales such as car seats, memorabilia etc… All online auction sites are analyzed to put this leaderboard together.

I only include websites that have sold 5+ cars in the chart below.

The sales just keep getting bigger, with $7.4 million worth of cars sold yesterday.

Check out the stats below: over 26% of the sales were $60k and above. Typically, if more than 10% of sales hit the $100k+ mark, we know it's been a standout day, and yesterday was well above average. This clearly shows there's still a strong appetite for the big-ticket vehicles.

YESTERDAY’S TOP 5 SALES

Yesterday, Bring a Trailer absolutely dominated the top 20 sold cars. It's pretty rare these days to see them sweep the top 5, but that's exactly what happened.

I haven’t touched on the Cybertruck much lately, but I have to mention the latest sale on PCarMarket for just $102,750. That's the lowest online sale we've seen so far. Will they drop even further?

Bring a Trailer's First European Partner, Image Street Classics, Upping the Game

The collaboration between Bring a Trailer and its first European partner, Image Street Classics, is already showing promising results. The quality and quantity of vehicles listed by Image Street Classics have significantly improved, a testament to the growing synergy between the two entities. This burgeoning partnership is undoubtedly the first of many, and it's already paying off in spectacular fashion. Case in point: the recent sale of a stunning 1971 Iso Grifo Series II Targa 5-Speed.

1971 Iso Grifo Series II Targa 5-Speed: A Rare Gem

Sold for a very respectable $485,000 yesterday, this 1971 Iso Grifo Series II Targa 5-Speed stands out as a premium listing. With only four Targa examples built during the Series II production, this car's exclusivity and historical significance cannot be overstated. Originally sold in Germany.

A Closer Look at the Iso Grifo

Finished in a sleek black over white leather, the Iso Grifo is powered by a 350ci Chevrolet V8, overhauled between 2019 and 2020, and mated to a ZF five-speed manual transmission.

Performance

The 350ci Chevrolet V8 engine's overhaul included honing cylinders, resurfacing the block, and a rebuild of the oil pump, ensuring this classic car drives as well as it looks.

Conclusion

The sale of the 1971 Iso Grifo Series II Targa 5-Speed is a great start for the success of Bring a Trailer's partnership with Image Street Classics. They have three other auctions ending this week, so the numbers are going up.

As word spreads about their collaboration, it's exciting to think about the potential for more high-quality listings and successful sales. No doubt, there will be numerous partners across Europe soon, each contributing to the expanding influence and success of Bring a Trailer in the international market. Can’t wait to see how they compete with existing European platforms!

Exceptional Listings Ending Today

This 1989 Ferrari F40 stands out in today's auction, showcasing the global reach of Collecting Cars from its current home in Thailand. Would love to know the story of how the car ended up there.

Reimagined in sleek black with performance-focused modifications, it's a far cry from a factory-standard example. The twin-turbo 2.9L V8, adjustable boost, upgraded brakes, and custom suspension make this a seriously potent machine.

With just under 23,000 km on the clock and consistent maintenance by Auto Italia Bangkok, this F40 is primed for both track days and turning heads on the street.

While purists might question the changes, I see a supercar that combines classic appeal with modern performance upgrades. For the right buyer, this could be an exhilarating addition to any collection, regardless of its location halfway around the world.

This nearly new 2023 Porsche 911 Targa 4S is a rare find, with on average only 1 coming up for auction every month across all platforms. Recent sales have hovered around $170,000.

Here’s a chance to bypass the usual wait for a current-model allocation. With only 1,660 miles on the odometer, it's practically fresh from the factory. The white exterior paired with a graphite blue interior and blue Targa roof creates a timeless and desirable spec.

In my opinion, this Targa 4S represents the pinnacle of modern 911 engineering, blending classic styling with cutting-edge performance. The 443 horsepower twin-turbo flat-six, all-wheel drive, and PDK transmission make it a true driver's car.

Saving the best for last!

This 1960 Porsche 356B coupe Emory Outlaw is a stunning blend of classic styling and modern performance. The Azure Blue exterior houses a potent 2.4L "Polo" flat-four engine, paired with a modified 901 five-speed manual transaxle. Extensive modifications include 16" alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, and a fully customized interior with GT-style seats in red leather.

Amazing, beautiful work of art and performance here. As for the driving video 911r provided 👏.

Another Emory Motor Sports build, and all of them, including this one, are legendary. With only 3,100 miles since completion and coming from the renowned 911r seller, this Outlaw offers a rare opportunity to own a meticulously crafted piece of Porsche history.

For collectors and enthusiasts seeking a unique, high-performance classic, this 356B Emory Outlaw is hard to beat and truly represents the pinnacle of 356 customization and performance enhancement in the spirit of the original "Outlaw" movement. One day for me…
