🔬 PLUS: Ford F-Series Under The Microscope & Top 2 Selling Vehicles In The US Revealed

The Daily Vroom

Good morning Vroomers,

The roller-coaster ride of the past week in the online car auction universe was a captivating one. After experiencing a significant drop in sales initially, as pointed out in last Monday's report, we witnessed an impressive recovery over the subsequent days.

Sales were just over $35m with an average sale just shy of $45,000, which is up on the previous week by just over $500k.

The top 3 platforms in terms of quantity were:

Bring A Trailer

Cars & Bids

Collecting Cars

485 cars sold

99 cars sold

85 cars sold

Numbers alone can't narrate the entire narrative. Hence, for a more comprehensive understanding, I'm providing you with the statistics from the past week for a comparative analysis.

Bring A Trailer

Cars & Bids

Collecting Cars

530 cars sold

122 cars sold

66 cars sold

With respect to volume, BaT and Cars & Bids saw a noticeable drop in their sales, while Collecting Cars experienced a substantial rise in vehicles sold. It's intriguing to anticipate how these dynamics will play out this week

One can fairly presume that for various reasons, approximately 1-5% of these transactions might not reach completion. Nonetheless, it's important to consider that sales frequently take place after the auction has concluded, even if there is no winning bid. Hence, things probably even out ultimately.

The three leading makes, listed in sequence, with their average sale prices rounded up, were:

  1. Mercedes-Benz

  2. Porsche

  3. Ford

$33,218 average sale price

$70,095 average sale price

$56,587 average sale price

Pure statistics can't fully convey the whole story. Therefore, to give you a more in-depth perspective, I'm sharing the figures from the previous week to facilitate a side-by-side comparison.

  1. BMW

  2. Porsche

  3. Mercedes-Benz

$27k average sale price

$110k average sale price

$42k average price

I’ll leave the rest of the analysis for you to enjoy below 😀
